If you’re thinking you’d like to schedule a session soon, but worry the city is still a wash of grey and brown, I offer the obvious solution: GRAFFITI. Underpass park is one of my favourite locations in downtown Toronto and I was beyond excited when my client and I agreed it would be a great fit for her extended family session.
Why we loved it:
Colour any time of the year!
It doesn’t matter if the blossoms have bloomed, the trees are green, orange or brown – we can find any and all colour palettes at the park.
Cover from the rain
If it starts to drizzle – no problem. We can tuck under cover and it’s still really bright!
There’s a fun and photogenic playground!
Does your family get bored standing around? Mine does. At Underpass Park – you play, I shoot, everyone wins.
If you want some pictures greenery, the Cork Town common is across the street!
It’s pretty much two locations in one!
If I haven’t convinced you yet that this is the perfect Toronto location for your next session with me, scroll through some more favourites of this amazing family (I may also be partial to these guys because this grandpa reminds me a lot of my dad aka they’re both awesome!)
PS: One last thing before you scroll – this month I’m taking part in a blog circle with some great photographers from across North America. KC Crow is an amazing Orange County lifestyle photographer. She walks you through step-by-step on how to create a dramatic family profile portrait (in her son’s bedroom with one light!).
That really seems like the perfect location in this weather! Urban and green so close together. And your images are beautiful and so varied!
Thanks so much Annika! It really is a gem of a spot. 🙂
