I talk about my sessions with Janis all the time and I always say: just look at my photos. Period. It doesn’t matter what you are wearing or where you are. She makes the magic happen and you will cherish your memories FOREVER. I love that in my photos you can really see my family’s personality without having to say CHEESE! I am a Janis LIFER!

I have used Janis for headshots, business photos, a work-event (many guests to capture) and school photos for my twins - for every occasion, the photos came out really well. Janis gives great direction and is so easy to work with, not to mention talented. I'd continue to refer her to many colleagues and friends.

Janis photographed our family – including an active toddler and excitable dog – at our home. She was relaxed, professional, patient and courteous; which meant that we could enjoy our time in front of the camera. We love the photos! Having family pictures taken can be so stressful. Getting everybody ready, hoping the kids will cooperate, worrying about how you will look - it's overwhelming. Having Janis take pictures is more like inviting a good friend over to hang out, except at the end you're left with the most beautiful images of your family. Janis has a way of capturing the best of everybody, showing you and your family as you are in real life, but in your very best light. There's no stress and no awkwardness, no stuffily posed photos. Just your happy, smiling family, looking like themselves.

Janis recently did a photo shoot for my very large extended family and she did an absolutely amazing job!! The shoot included 9 adults and 10 kids under the age of 9 and she managed to capture the most beautiful photos despite a lot of chaos, screaming and crying children!! I was so impressed with Janet's calmness, energy and enthusiasm. She was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to do a photo shoot!

I was looking for someone to take family photographs and Janis came recommended by several people who had used her before and when I looked her up I easily saw why! Her photography style is so natural and beautiful that I knew I wanted to work with her. I got in touch and she responded so quickly and efficiently that we had a date picked and the details hammered out in no time. The day of the shoot went so incredibly well, not only because she is an amazing photographer but also in large part that she herself is so nice and friendly that my husband, daughter and I felt immediately comfortable with her....it was like having a friend take your picture! As for the pictures themselves I honestly couldn't be any happier! I have gotten so many compliments from them and can't stop singing Janis' praise!

From the moment Janis met us, she made us feel so comfortable. She completely connected with our 6 year old daughter - taking her cues and allowing our daughter's personality to really shine! The result was a tremendous selection of amazing, candid photos. Janis was easy going, flexible and creative with our photos - all the while creating a really fun family experience for us. The pictures are incredible - so many different moments in time to be cherished for a lifetime!

Janis was amazing. She let us go about naturally what we do with our son and caught some really pretty moments. I felt so grateful to see my son at such an early age, with us. It's hard for me, as a mom, to be in photos so these pictures were a treasure.
